The first-ever Pearl Island Women’s Padel Championship wrapped up successfully, drawing strong participation from residents and visitors. Held from April 20 to 24 at Fanar Fayrouz, the event saw eight diverse women’s teams compete over five thrilling days, showcasing talent, determination, and sportsmanship.
An energetic crowd and festive atmosphere added to the championship’s appeal, with celebratory activities and vibrant community support throughout. Team Femme Force claimed the top spot after a standout final performance, while Team Veronica & Bruna and Team Pearlerz secured second and third place respectively.
The closing ceremony, attended by officials and guests, featured award presentations recognizing all teams’ efforts and achievements.
Organised by United Development Company (UDC), the event reflects UDC’s ongoing commitment to promoting women’s sports and fostering an active lifestyle. UDC aims to make the championship an annual tradition, further positioning Pearl Island as a hub for sports, wellness, and community living.
