Su-Man is more than a skincare expert—she’s a healer, dancer, and philosopher of beauty. Known globally for her transformative facials and holistic skincare philosophy, she brings together Eastern traditions and modern wellness in a way that’s deeply personal and profoundly effective.
During her visit to Sharq Village & Spa, Azqa Haroon got the chance to sit down with Su-Man for an honest and insightful conversation.
QH: Where did your skincare journey begin?
Su-Man: My journey began in my childhood in Taiwan, growing up on a farm. We used green tea for sunburn, watermelon for exfoliation, and rice water to cleanse. Officially, my skincare brand began in 2013 after I developed my signature facial and needed products to match its simplicity and effectiveness. I created them in my kitchen, tested them on clients, and refined them in labs across France, Taiwan, and now the UK.
QH: What’s one skincare tip every woman should follow?
Su-Man: I’m not a fan of one-tip solutions–beauty is holistic. It’s about emotional and physical wellness working together: mindful rituals, movement, laughter, and embracing life’s highs and lows. True radiance shines through presence and joy, not just the skin.
QH: What does beauty mean to you?
Su-Man: At 62, I see beauty as returning to your true self. It’s about authenticity, not external standards. Like the sun rising and setting–each phase of life has its own beauty, and we should embrace every one of them.
QH: What’s your morning ritual like?
Su-Man: I stretch in bed, drink warm lemon-honey water, and while cooking breakfast, I do a quick face and scalp massage. My skincare routine is consistent but simple–just five minutes a day split between morning and evening.

QH: How do you handle stress?
Su-Man: Dance. It’s where I lose and find myself. It gives me body awareness, rhythm, and joy. It’s the perfect therapy.
QH: What’s your secret to glowing skin?
Su-Man: There’s no single secret. It’s a symphony–skincare, nourishing food, movement, laughter, and emotional well-being. Everything has to work in harmony.
QH: What’s one thing dance has taught you?
Su-Man: Discipline. It’s the foundation of consistency and growth–in skincare and in life.
QH: Your favourite skincare ingredient?
Su-Man: Too many to name! It depends on the purpose of the product. Each ingredient serves a unique function, so I don’t have one favourite.
QH: Advice for women feeling overwhelmed?
Su-Man: Look at beautiful things–nature, art, or even just the sky. It reminds you of life’s vastness and the endless possibilities ahead.
QH: Your take on Botox and fillers?
Su-Man: They’re quick fixes. While they can make us look younger, they can’t replicate the light we’re born with. True youthfulness comes from within–from energy, emotion, and health.
QH: How has your experience in Doha and at Sharq Village been?
Su-Man: It feels like coming home. The warmth, hospitality, and humour of the people make me feel completely at ease. Sharq Village is beautiful, and the spa experience here is exceptional. I love coming back.
