From the moment we stepped into the lobby of DoubleTree by Hilton Doha Downtown, we were enveloped in an ambience of tasteful elegance. The modern design, adorned with classic décor, set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The check-in process was a breeze and efficiently handled by the courteous staff. As a warm gesture of hospitality, we were presented with delectable chocolate cookies — a delightful treat that all guests are greeted with upon check-in.
Luxurious abode
Our abode for the stay was nothing short of extraordinary. We were settled into a lavish Executive 1-Bedroom Suite, offering a captivating city-facing view. The interior design was a harmonious blend of contemporary aesthetics and comfort, with thoughtful touches that elevated the aura. The fully equipped kitchen catered to both short and long-term stays, giving us the flexibility to enjoy home-cooked meals during our visit.
Rooftop oasis
The hotel’s rooftop boasted a stunning pool that beckoned us to indulge in leisurely moments of poolside bliss. We watched as our kids immersed themselves in pure joy, their laughter echoing against the backdrop of the city skyline. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we embarked on an enchanting evening at the Mood Lounge. Reserved for those aged 21 and above, the lounge offered an eclectic blend of sheesha, delicious beverages, and mouthwatering cuisine. The live DJ set the mood for the night, prompting us to dance and unwind. The lounge’s popularity was evident as it buzzed with activity, but our children were far from left out. They enjoyed room service while revelling in the delights of the hotel’s dedicated kids club, ensuring they had their share of the fun.
Culinary odyssey
Our in-room dining experience was a tantalising journey, highlighted by a succulent ribeye steak and an exquisite truffle pasta accompanied by luscious truffle fries. The Buffalo wings and delectable thermidor, nestled within a freshly baked bun, left our taste buds in a state of euphoria.
Our mornings were greeted by a lavish spread of breakfast favourites, served in the chic Parisian setting of La Serra. This same restaurant became our haven for lunch, where we delighted in a wholesome quinoa and Caesar salad, alongside indulgent Wagyu steak, burger, and Cordon bleu. The grand finale of our gastronomic journey was the sinfully delightful crème brûlée and profiteroles.
