During an outing to the Alwadi Hotel Doha, I had the opportunity to experience their exceptional spa and gym facilities. The M|Spa, which has won numerous awards, was a highlight of my trip. The spa offers a unique blend of contemporary therapies with traditional Arabic heritage herbs and fragrances, creating a truly authentic experience inspired by the region’s rich culture.
The spa facilities were state-of-the-art and included a temperature-controlled outdoor pool with a separate children’s pool. I loved relaxing in the sauna and aromatic steam room, which were designed with separate facilities for ladies and men. The relaxation room was an oasis of calm and serenity, and I felt completely rejuvenated after spending time there.
I opted for the signature treatment, the Saffron Journey, which was an indulgent and luxurious experience. The treatment started with a healing saffron footbath, followed by an essential oil blend that alleviated stress and deep muscle tension. The luxurious body exfoliation left my skin feeling soft and smooth, and the detoxifying saffron clay wrap was incredibly refreshing. The bespoke Arabic massage oil blend was the perfect way to end the treatment, leaving me feeling completely relaxed and re-energized.
The four single spa treatment rooms are named after Oud, Argan, Yasmine and Lily and a couple’s room named Misk and Amber.
The M|FIT gym was also impressive, with high-quality Technogym equipment available. I was able to personalise my workout sessions according to my fitness level and age. Accredited personal trainers are on hand to help guests achieve personal health and fitness goals. The gym offers monthly and annual memberships.
Overall, my experience at the Alwadi Hotel Doha’s spa and gym facilities was truly exceptional. The combination of locally inspired aromatic herbs and fragrances, state-of-the-art facilities, and highly trained and supportive staff made for an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxury spa and gym experience.
