  1. What does being a mother mean to you?
Being a mother means sacrificing myself, my time, my sleep, and my mental health to raise my kids into gentlemen, who can be kind enough to contribute towards making this world a better place.
  2. How has motherhood changed you, both as a person and as a professional?
Motherhood changed my life upside down; I never imagined myself prioritising someone else’s needs and keeping myself after. I was meant to be a successful architect and here I am publishing a book and helping moms to nurture their kids mindfully.
  3. Who are the mothers that have inspired you the most in your life, and why?
Muniba Mazari inspired me the most and made me realise that you can be successful in your worst circumstances – the only thing is for you to never give up.
  4. What is the most important lesson you’ve learned from your mother, or from being a mother yourself?
I come from a small town, where nobody truly understands the worth of being a mom. Nobody understands that it’s the hardest non-paying 24-hour job. Seeing my mom doing this selfless job and losing her true value lessened me to prove myself as a homemaker and to keep my dignity in my community.
  5. How do you balance your responsibilities as a mother with your career and personal goals?
Honestly, I’m still finding ways to balance it better because sometimes it gets tough to be in charge of all things. But there are a few things that make my life easier:
Planning and routine keeps me organised.
Support system – can’t thank God enough for blessing me with a supportive husband and my friends who look after my kids when I’m not around.
Self-care which is most important because that makes me happy, more confident, getting things done more efficiently and it also elevates me to be more present around my kids. I cannot always see joy in chaos, but I try to slow down. I try to worry less.
