The Westin Doha Hotel & SPA proudly announces the promotion of Erdem Unal to hotel manager, effective January 1, 2025. With over 14 years of hospitality expertise and a proven track record, Erdem will now lead all hotel operations, ensuring the continuation of exceptional service and innovation.
A graduate of Tourism and Hospitality Management from Suleyman Demirel University in Türkiye, Erdem’s career began in 2011 at one of the largest convention hotels in the U.S., where he excelled in leadership roles across F&B and Front Office. His journey included key positions at Sheraton Ankara Hotel & Convention Center and Lugal, a Luxury Collection hotel, where he managed multi-property responsibilities in Front Office, Reservations, and Revenue Management.
Erdem’s achievements include supporting Türkiye’s revenue management cluster office and contributing as a task force member for the pre-opening of Caresse Luxury Collection Hotel. Joining The Westin Doha as director of revenue management, Erdem expanded his expertise during the pandemic by leading the sales and marketing team on an interim basis, discovering a passion for discipline.
In 2024, Erdem further distinguished himself as the leader of the Qatar Sales Marriott Business Council, solidifying his reputation in the region. Recognised for his exceptional contributions, he has earned numerous accolades, including the prestigious Hall of Fame Award.
