Porsche Centre Doha has unveiled the all-new third-generation Porsche Panamera at a special event in Qatar. Featuring a fresh design, enhanced performance, and greater driving comfort, the new Panamera boasts powerful E-Hybrid powertrains and an advanced suspension system, making it the most dynamic sedan in its class.

VIP guests, media, and prospective customers in Qatar celebrated the latest Panamera luxury sports saloon at a glamorous evening event at Porsche Centre Doha, Medina Centrale, The Pearl.

The third-generation Panamera luxury sedan emphasizes its sporty character with more powerful drive systems, a modernized operating concept, and innovative technology, including the new Porsche Active Ride suspension system, blending enhanced comfort with renowned Porsche driving dynamics.

The exclusive event, themed in amber gold, symbolized the new Madeira Gold Metallic color, evoking a golden autumn richness and setting the perfect tone for a lavish evening of entertainment.

“The Porsche Panamera has always been an important and much-loved model for Qataris with its exclusive mix of Porsche performance in a luxurious and spacious, four-door saloon shape,” the Chairman and CEO of Porsche Centre Doha, Salman Jassem Al Darwish said.

“The third-generation Panamera introduces important new technologies that not only contribute to improved road holding with a new state-of-the-art active air suspension but also delivers more power and torque than ever before with the option of four E-Hybrid powertrains that deliver greater efficiency and an improved range.”

The technical yet elegant, dynamic design of the new Panamera gives the model line’s attractive proportions a fresh update. A fundamentally redesigned, driver-centred interior enhances the driving experience.

“The new Panamera has further refined the model’s original intentions, to deliver sports car performance that Porsche has always been renowned for, along with ultimate luxury and everyday usability of a sedan for urban and highway conditions,” the brand manager for Porsche Centre Doha, Ahed Dawood said.

Superior Feel with State-of-the-Art Suspension Systems

The new Panamera sets a high standard with its dual-chamber two-valve air suspension featuring Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). This advanced system, standard in all models, separates the rebound and compression stages of damper control, offering a superior balance between comfort and sportiness. It efficiently absorbs impacts from road irregularities while maintaining stability during dynamic driving. Additionally, optional all-wheel steering further enhances handling.

For E-Hybrid models, the innovative Porsche Active Ride active suspension system is available, surpassing other suspension concepts in driving comfort and dynamics. This system uses newly developed active shock absorbers, each connected to an electrically operated hydraulic pump. This allows for precise control of forces between the body and wheels, almost completely neutralizing road-induced forces. A weight-saving single-chamber air-suspension system complements this technology.

The chassis of the Panamera ensures the body remains level even during dynamic braking, steering, and acceleration maneuvers. The system absorbs bumps smoothly and maintains a perfect connection to the road during spirited driving, thanks to balanced wheel load distribution.

In specific modes, the suspension can counteract pitching and rolling tendencies, reducing occupant acceleration forces. The Panamera can lean into corners like a motorcycle, lower the front end during acceleration, and the rear end during deceleration. When stationary, the Porsche Active Ride system raises the body to a convenient height for entry and exit.

More E-Performance and Revamped Engines

Porsche introduces four efficient E-Hybrid powertrains for the new Panamera, catering to high demand. These E-Hybrid variants offer enhanced performance, range, and efficiency. Leading the lineup is the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid, featuring a newly revised four-litre V8 turbo engine and a 140 kW (190 PS) electric motor. Combined, they deliver a system output of 500 kW (680 PS) and 930 Nm of torque. The electric motor is integrated into the redesigned eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, optimizing weight and heat management for improved performance.

The Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 315 km/h. Its battery capacity is 25.9 kWh, providing an electric range of up to 91 km in the WLTP cycle or 83-93 km in city driving. A new 11 kW on-board AC charger reduces charging time to 2 hours and 39 minutes at compatible charging points.

Additionally, the Panamera and Panamera 4 variants debut with enhanced 2.9-litre V6 turbo engines. Improvements in boost pressure, fuel injection, and ignition timing increase output to 260 kW (353 PS) and 500 Nm of torque, boosting the Panamera’s acceleration to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 272 km/h. The all-wheel-drive Panamera 4 achieves 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 270 km/h.

Luxurious and Sporty Design

The new Panamera maintains its distinctive lines and proportions, measuring 5,052 mm in length (Executive: 5,202 mm), 1,937 mm in width, and 1,423 mm in height (Executive: 1,428 mm). Its revamped design gives it a more expressive and sporty appearance. An additional air intake above the front number plate accommodates increased air requirements. The redesigned side window line enhances the sedan’s character, and the rear window edges are flush with the body contour for harmonious lines.

Porsche Driver Experience Cockpit

The Porsche Driver Experience cockpit balances digital and analogue controls, with essential elements positioned along the driver’s axis. The gear selector lever is conveniently located to the right of the steering wheel, and the mode switch for driving programmes and assistance control stalks are easily accessible. This design allows drivers to adjust settings without taking their eyes off the road.=

An optional passenger display integrates the passenger into the driving experience. The 10.9-inch screen shows vehicle performance data and allows infotainment system operation, while being invisible to the driver to avoid distraction.

Distinctive Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid

The Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid stands out as Porsche’s performance flagship, featuring a unique rear apron with painted diffuser panels, a body-colored front apron, and dark bronze chrome-plated tailpipes. Optional center-lock wheels add to its distinctive look, available across other models too.

The exclusive Turbonite color highlights the side window strips, Turbo logo on the tailgate, and Porsche crest on the bonnet, wheels, and steering wheel. Inside, Turbonite accents combined with carbon elements enhance the sporty ambiance, visible in the central rev-counter and center console controls.

Porsche equips the Panamera with standard Matrix LED headlights, while the high-resolution HD Matrix LED lighting system, featuring over 32,000 pixels per headlight and a 600-meter illumination range, is optional. This system includes advanced features like dedicated lane brightening.

The new Panamera, now available for order, comes with extended standard equipment: two-valve dual-chamber air suspension, LED matrix headlights, ParkAssist, driving mode switch on the steering wheel, a cooled smartphone compartment with inductive charging, and an enhanced fine dust filter with GPS-supported automatic air-recirculation.

Produced at Porsche’s Leipzig factory, the Panamera’s third generation benefits from recent plant modifications, continuing its strong association with the Saxon production site since its first generation assembly from 2009 to 2016.

“The interest from this evening’s event has, not surprisingly, been incredible with the order books for test drives at Porsche Centre Doha filling fast and with a starting price of QAR 390,800, we are also taking orders for purchase as well,” Ahed Dawood said.
