Grand Prix glory at Doha International Equestrian Tour 2025

The Doha International Equestrian Tour 2025 concluded in style at the Longines Outdoor Arena of Al Shaqab, with QOC President HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani crowning the winners of the CSI5 Grand Prix class*. The thrilling finale marked the end of the third and final round of the Tour, organised by the Qatar Equestrian Federation, Al Shaqab, and the Qatar Olympic Committee.

Global elite shine

Britain’s Scott Brash clinched victory in the CSI5 Grand Prix 1.60m class, completing the jump-off in an impressive 43.21 seconds on Hello Folie. Belgium’s Abdel Said and Portugal’s Duarte Seabra finished second and third, respectively. The competition featured over 330 local and international riders across six rounds in CSI1, CSI3, and CSI5 categories, alongside a special Future Riders event. Riders competed at varying heights, showcasing exceptional talent.

Highlights across categories

In the CSI3 Grand Prix 1.50m, Spain’s Mariano Martinez Bastida claimed the top spot with a flawless routine in 44.19 seconds. In the CSI3 Faults & Time 1.35m, Saudi rider Mohammed Alasaker emerged victorious, while Britain’s Millie Allen excelled in the CSI5 Faults & Time 1.45m* class.
Qatar’s riders also impressed, with Faleh Suwaid Al Ajmi dominating the CSI1 Grand Prix 1.25m* and Abdulla Khalid Al Julandani excelling in the CSI1 Immediate Jump Off 1.15m*.

National talent shines

The National Competition 100cm class saw Qatari rider Khalid Jaber Dharman deliver a stellar performance, finishing closest to the ideal time.

Impressive participation and success

The Tour attracted over 390 riders from 33 countries, competing for a total prize pool exceeding €1.7 million. Doha Int. Equestrian Tour Sports Director Nasser Al Hajri highlighted the event’s growing success, emphasising its impact in providing a world-class platform for elite riders to compete and shine.
