Renowned for its commitment to sustainability, Mandarin Oriental, Doha celebrates World Bee Day on May 20. The hotel will feature educational workshops, specialty spa treatments, room amenities, and delicacies, highlighting its dedication to biodiversity conservation and ecological awareness.
For the past four years, Mandarin Oriental, Doha has partnered with Bu Saif’s Apiary to manage 15 active beehives across Qatar, producing its own Malika Honey. Derived from the nectar of the Sidr tree, Malika Honey enriches guests’ culinary experiences with treats like Malika Honey Cake from The Mandarin Cake Shop and Lavender Honey Peach Sorbet from Gelato.
Expanding its beekeeping initiative, the hotel invites students from Qatar Academy Msheireb to educational sessions at Gelato. Guided by the culinary team, students will learn about the vital role bees play in biodiversity and sustainable honey production in honor of World Bee Day.
Additionally, guests at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Doha can indulge in the luxurious HydraFacial treatment, enhanced with Beta HD featuring honey extract. This renowned, non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment, suitable for all skin types, deeply cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates.
