At its 74th Congress in Bangkok, the FIFA Council approved Qatar’s request to host the next three editions of the Arab Cup in 2025, 2029, and 2033.

In a statement on its official website, the FIFA Council confirmed the Qatar Football Association’s (QFA) request to host the Arab Cup in 2025, 2029 and 2033 has been granted, following Qatar’s successful hosting of the 2021 tournament. The Council also decided that these upcoming editions will be held in December of the specified years.

The QFA expressed interest in hosting the event under FIFA and the Arab Federation, citing the region’s need for such tournaments and Qatar’s comprehensive infrastructure and success factors.
Qatar holds a prominent global position in organising major sporting events and tournaments, including the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar with 32 participating teams, the Asian Cup Qatar 2023 in January and February 2024, and the U-23 AFC Asian Cup.
FIFA announced that Qatar will host five editions of the FIFA U-17 World Cup from 2025 to 2029, featuring 48 teams for the first time in history.
Qatar boasts integrated sports infrastructure and a modern transportation network, ensuring smooth fan arrivals and match attendance, allowing fans to attend multiple matches per day.
