Many first timers tell QH they will return to the country for more
Qatar made a bold statement of its hospitality, hosting capability and the sophistication and seamless organisation right from from November 2022 when the ball was set rolling for the Greatest Show on Earth to the grand finale on December 18, which coincided with the Qatar National Day at the Lusail Stadium.
But away from all the action on the field, the country opened its arms to millions of foreign visitors, who had primarily come to watch the scintillating action but were also keen on getting the sights and sounds to make the most of their stay.
Qatar proved to be an oasis of safety, security and generosity to fans who held forth during interviews with QH that they were highly impressed by the country’s progress, and in particular, with its sophisticated urban development, modern roads and infrastructure. What further pleasantly surprised them was a smooth transport system that ferried them across stadiums from one point to another.
Amongst these were many first-timers who admitted to being overwhelmed by what they say. They took to the local warmth and hospitality like a duck to water, visiting tourist and heritage sites, including multi-dimensional museums.
Many of these foreign tourists vowed to return to Qatar thanks to their unique experiences where almost everyone praised the safe and secure environment in which they were able to go to — and return from — the stadiums but also generally everywhere the visit took them.
