Unveiled at the Mondrian Hotel, Doha, in the presence of senior management from Volvo and Domasco, local dignitaries, media personalities, and influencers, the EX30 marks a significant step in promoting EV adoption in Qatar. Now available for booking, this cutting-edge vehicle is Volvo’s first small premium SUV, expanding its all-electric lineup to four models.

The new fully electric Volvo EX30, a small SUV that does big Volvo things, is designed with safety in mind. Honored with the prestigious Red Dot ‘Best of the Best Design’ award and named 2024 World Urban Car at the World Car Awards, the EX30 boasts the smallest CO2 footprint of any Volvo to date. It enhances safety, convenience, and enjoyment through cutting-edge technology and Scandinavian design.
The EX30 embodies all of Volvo’s design values in a compact format. Its long wheelbase, large wheels, and equal overhangs bring balance and refinement to the exterior. Distinctly electric, it features a confident face, a closed shield, and a digital rendition of Thor’s Hammer headlights.
Battery Tech for Every Need
The new EX30 offers two battery variants: a 51 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) pack and a 69 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese (NMC) variant, with the latter providing a range of up to 298 miles (480 kilometers).
For city drivers or shorter trips, the Core grade with a single-motor LFP battery is cost-effective and resource-efficient. For maximum range, the EX30 Plus grade features a single-motor NMC extended-range battery, offering up to 480 kilometers per charge.
For top performance, the Ultra Performance variant combines the NMC battery with a second e-motor, delivering 315 kW (428 hp) and accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, making it Volvo’s fastest-accelerating car ever.
Charging is quick, too. The extended-range Twin Motor variant charges up to 153 kW, and the standard-range variant up to 134 kW, allowing the battery to go from 10% to 80% in just over 25 minutes. The car’s center display and app let you set amperage, maximum charging level, and start time.
Small in Size, Big on Safety
The EX30 has the lowest carbon footprint of any Volvo to date, reflecting Volvo Cars’ commitment to sustainability. By addressing emissions throughout production and using eco-friendly materials, its total carbon footprint over 200,000 km of driving is reduced to under 30 tonnes.
Designed for safety, the EX30 includes features like a bike alert to prevent ‘dooring’ accidents, state-of-the-art restraint technology, and a robust structural design to meet stringent safety standards.
The EX30 enhances convenience and enjoyment with cutting-edge technology and Scandinavian interior design. It features a contextual single-screen User Interface (UX) with Google built-in on a 12.3” display, showcasing Volvo’s design values.
The EX30 is the first to feature the new generation Park Pilot Assist, capable of handling all parking types, including parallel, curved, and diagonal spaces.
Volvo has partnered with tech giants like Google, Apple, and Qualcomm, along with ECARX, through the HaleyTek joint venture, to provide the best infotainment platform and user experience for the EX30.
A Sense of Calm
The EX30 features digital key functionality for convenience and easy sharing, built on the advanced UWB and CCC industry standards, ensuring compatibility with various phone brands and models.
Additionally, the Volvo EX30 offers a choice of five ambient lighting themes, each inspired by different Scandinavian landscapes and subtly shifting in color, enhancing the interior’s calm atmosphere.
Availability and Offers
The EX30 is now available in four variants—Core, Plus, Ultra Performance, and Ultra Performance LE—starting at QAR 142,900. It comes in five exterior colors: Crystal White Metallic, Onyx Black Metallic, Vapour Grey, Moss Yellow, and Cloud Blue, with four Scandinavian nature-inspired interior colors: Indigo, Pine, Breeze, and Mist.
