An Eid family meal is never complete without a sinful Sweet Tooth item. Motaz Zayed, culinary director, St. Regis Doha and St. Regis Marsa Arabia, gives us a relatively easy recipe to whip up this Eid. Try it!

Toffee Sauce

Cream 36% fat400 gram
Dark brown sugar100 gram

Cooking Instructions:
Pour the cream and dark brown sugar in a saucepan and bring to boil for 10 minutes.

Dates Paste

Dates paste650 gram
Water700 gram
Baking soda20 gram

Cooking Instructions:
In a pot add the dates paste and water together on a medium heat.
Ones its boil add baking soda and keep it boil for 10 minutes.
Place the mixture in the refrigerator until next day.


Sticky Toffee Sauce

Sponge

Sugar650 gram
Whole eggs8
Flour650 gram
Vanilla3 gram

Cooking Instructions:
Pre heat oven to 140 degrees, line-baking tray.
Mix butter and sugar into the mixing bowl and beat using the paddle.
Add eggs and vanilla one at a time and make a homogenous mixture.
Fold the mixture in a sieved flour.
Add the cold dates mix and fold it in to the mixture.
Bake at 140 degrees for 40 minutes.
